IT Application Lead

GOSP - Generali Operations Service Platform, a joint venture between Generali and Accenture, provides IT and Procurement services to Group companies. Based in Italy with five branches across Europe, GOSP employs about 1,000 people.

Role Overview

The candidate will join the Program NEXT team. The IT Application Lead is responsible for supporting new implementations and maintaining application assets. This role involves interacting with technical and functional teams to ensure timely delivery, supporting go-live activities, and assisting in strategic planning for global operations. The lead works with business teams to understand processes, translate them into technical requirements, assess solutions, and coordinate application changes.

Main Tasks

1. Monitor and ensure achievement of core solution milestones, manage resources and budgets, coordinate with local stakeholders, and escalate key decisions and risks.
2. Ensure compliance with internal policies.
3. Maintain, monitor, and support all systems and applications.
4. Serve as an IT solution consultant for business stakeholders, mapping technologies and IT services to support business strategies.
5. Plan and execute solution implementation projects aligned with business strategies and IT standards.
6. Oversee vendor governance related to Cloud Infrastructure activities.

Hard Skills

• Knowledge of IFRS principles (IFRS17 and IFRS9) and actuarial background in Non-Life insurance.
• Understanding of Software Lifecycle, Lean Project Management, Agile, Waterfall, and ITIL methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, programming languages, and relational databases.
• Professional proficiency in English; additional languages (Italian, German, French) are advantageous.
• Knowledge of Cloud services management and processes.
