A luxury retail company based in Rome is seeking an experienced IS&T Project Manager to manage Finance IT projects and support the finance transformation through innovative technology solutions. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in IT Finance & Administration and solid knowledge of finance processes, along with a strong analytical mindset. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Competenze

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Finance & Administration, preferably within consulting firms or multinational/luxury/fashion organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance processes like statutory & management accounting, controlling, reporting.

IS&T Project Manager (Finance & Administration IT Specialist)

As part of the IT Finance Product Unit team, the IS&T Project Manager (Finance & Administration IT Specialist) will play a pivotal role in transforming our Finance ecosystem by bridging cutting-edge technology with operational excellence. This role requires expertise in IT systems and finance processes, and a true partnership mindset aligned with the ambition and prestige of a global luxury brand.

Mission

To design, implement and continuously evolve Finance IT solutions that support Bulgari’s digital transformation journey, ensuring the alignment of IT strategy with Finance and Business objectives at both corporate and local levels.

Main Responsibilities
  • End-to-end management of Finance IT projects (from analysis to deployment), ensuring scope, time, cost, and quality objectives are met.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Corporate and Local Finance teams, supporting finance transformation through IT enablement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements adopting SAP S/4HANA best practice.
  • Drive continuous innovation through the adoption of digital tools, automation, and integration with upstream/downstream systems.
  • Provide expertise for key financial processes: statutory and management accounting, planning, controlling, reporting, treasury, procurement, and travel expenses.
  • Lead process analysis and reengineering efforts to eliminate inefficiencies and introduce lean, scalable solutions.
  • Ensure functional and technical alignment between IT solutions and evolving Finance business needs.
  • Govern the lifecycle of finance applications, including vendor and AMS coordination, SLA compliance, change management, and budget control.
  • Support compliance and audit readiness, ensuring systems and processes meet internal control and legal requirements.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for SAP S4 FI/CO and its integration with MM, SD.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment activities with internal teams, users, and external providers.
  • Support the migration strategy to S/4HANA and promote the adoption of modern tools, including reporting, to guarantee end to end streamlined processes.
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Govern the running applications by managing incidents, problems, and changes within Bulgari’s IT Finance framework.
  • Support data governance and master data integrity across Finance and Admin domains.
  • Ensure documentation and knowledge sharing, contributing to internal standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to group-wide IT initiatives, sharing expertise and best practices with global LVMH partners.
Qualifications

Key Technical Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Finance & Administration, preferably within consulting firms or multinational/luxury/fashion organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance processes: statutory & management accounting, closing, controlling, reporting, planning, treasury, group reporting, procurement & travel expenses, integration with logistics.
  • Preferred familiarity with planning processes.
  • Preferred familiarity with procurement processes.
  • Solid foundation in IT Project Management, both Agile and Waterfall
  • Proficiency in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and IT service management.
  • Experience in managing external vendors, system integrators, and AMS contracts.
  • Experience in Finance transformation projects for companies preferably in the luxury/fashion area (Manufacturing, Distribution and Retail)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Management Engineering, Business Informatics, or related field.
