IoT Senior Software Engineer

About the role:

We are seeking passionate, proactive, and self-driven individuals to join Haier Europe's team as an IoT Senior Software Engineer. Responsibilities:

• Integrate with the IoT software team as an experienced member
• Support development of IoT software functionalities
• Work independently on problem solving and implementation
• Develop and debug IoT software
• Define IoT software specifications

Minimum requirements:

• Proficiency in C language, developing firmware for 8/32-bit microcontrollers without an OS, including handling interrupts, peripherals, memory, and communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, etc.), and touch management
• Experience with real-time OS (e.g., freeRTOS, ESP32 is a plus)
• Skills in software specification, debugging hardware and software systems, analyzing electronic schematics, and using tools like oscilloscopes and signal generators
• Understanding of security protocols such as TLS, SSL, PKI, and device hardware security
• Experience with IoT wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, XBee, BLE, LoRa, Cellular
• Knowledge of Over The Air (OTA) programming processes
• Familiarity with communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Watson)
• Hands-on experience with prototype bring-up, debugging, verification, manufacturing support, and CI tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, VSTS
• Programming skills in high-level languages such as C#, Python for testing tool development
• Embedded IDE development experience (Espressif, ST, Microchip, etc.)
• Ability to write scalable, modular code for both low and high levels
• Debugging skills using emulators or trace logs
• Ability to handle real-time tasks
• Basic networking knowledge (BLE, HTTPS, MQTT, etc.)

Education: Electronic Engineer / Informatics

Professional Experience: More than 4-5 years in R&D Electronic development SW Embedded & IoT

Languages: Italian & English (Good)
