Job summary

Atlas Copco Group, via Varisco Product Company in Padova, Italy, seeks a Software and Connectivity Engineer to develop and maintain controllers and connectivity systems. You will analyze data to understand machine behavior and deliver insights to After Sales and Engineering teams.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, strong C/C++, Python skills, and experience with SQL/Synapse/Power BI/Azure; travel and Italian/English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in CS/IT/electronics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing company.
• 3+ years with SQL, Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and Azure.
• Programming with C++ and Python; cloud/edge computing experience 3+ years.
• Knowledge of IoT sensors, signal acquisition/processing for data collection.
• Data analysis and machine learning skills are a plus.
• Experience in connectivity projects (industrial).
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally; Italian and English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Program controllers and PLC.
• Develop and maintain software using C and PLC programming (Python is a plus).
• Design, integrate, and validate IoT sensors and connectivity technologies.
• Implement solutions for signal acquisition, processing, and analysis.
• Analyze telematics and IoT data to identify patterns and improvements.
• Contribute to Azure-based solution deployment and maintenance.
• Develop data analytics and machine learning applications.
• Collaborate to test and improve connected product solutions with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with After Sales and Engineering teams for insights.
