A leading banking institution in Italy is seeking an Associate for their Investment Banking–Equity Capital Markets team. This role involves working closely with senior executives to generate and execute equity capital markets transactions, preparing presentations, and managing client relationships. We're looking for candidates with at least 3 years of ECM experience, a relevant degree, and strong analytical and presentation skills.

Investment Banking–Equity Capital Markets Italy Associate - M/W

Responsibilities

• Work with Managing Directors, Directors, and Vice Presidents to originate and develop new ECM client relationships, leading to equity capital markets transactions.
• Collaborate with the broader ECM team, sales, trading, and other departments to execute ECM transactions.
• Prepare detailed ECM client presentations, participating in high-level capital markets transactions with global clients.
• Handle execution responsibilities for public and private equity transactions, domestically and internationally, including client-facing tasks.
• Support transaction origination and execution, including marketing material preparation and coordination with Equity Syndicate, Industry, and Investment Banking teams.
• Build relationships with international colleagues and Italian coverage teams.
• Manage junior team members, maintain detailed client interaction records, and track execution timelines.
• Stay updated on market developments and provide relevant updates to the team, including global equity markets, new issues, investor sentiment, and fund flows.

Profile required

• MBA or Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or accounting.
• At least 3+ years of relevant ECM experience as an Associate.
• Proficiency in English and Italian.
• Strong financial analysis skills, familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bloomberg, Factset, and Eikon.
• Excellent presentation skills, confidence, and ability to understand complex financial structures.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interest and understanding of financial markets.
