STMicroelectronics is seeking a Junior Software Design Engineer to join the StellarSDK & Benchmarking team within our Automotive Ecosystem. You will contribute to analyzing software components, benchmarking performance, and supporting HW abstraction for Software-Defined Vehicle European programs.

The role involves developing low-level drivers, middleware components, and production-grade software IPs for SoCs in automotive MCUs, with collaboration across engineering teams and DEI initiatives.

Competenze

• Master's degree field related to Computer/Electronic Engineering or Embedded Systems.
• Experience in development/integration of low-level drivers, middleware and applications.
• Solid C programming skills.
• Knowledge of ARM-based platforms is a plus.
• Experience with RTOS tools, debuggers and profilers.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and software development processes.
• Good written and spoken English.

For our Automotive Ecosystem and Open Community Framework Team, we are looking for a Junior SW Design Engineer to join our Software Ecosystem StellarSDK & Benchmarking team.

The candidate will contribute to the analysis of different SW components and middleware solutions evaluating the impact in terms of performances with a structured benchmarking approach on Stellar products.

One of the key roles will be to contribute to the HW Abstraction Level for Software-Defined Vehicle European program.

The candidate will also explore Software application solutions, develop/integrate low level drivers, Middleware components, production grade SW IPs for SoCs belonging to our Automotive MCUs type of products

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

• Master's Degree student in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Automation Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in Development/Integration low level drivers, middleware, applications, and toolchains. Nice to have
• Good programming skills in C
• Good knowledge of ARM based platforms is a plus
• Experience on RTOS tools such debuggers, profilers, Static and Dynamic Code check, etc. Nice to have
• Skill with HW debuggers (e.g. Segger/J-Link, Lauterbach Trace32, etc…) and other analysis tools is a plus
• Familiarity with software development processes, debugging tools, and version control systems such as Git.
• Good written and spoken English.
