Job summary

Baker Hughes invites students or recent graduates to join a global Internship Program in Italy. You will gain hands-on experience across engineering, supply chain, and finance, with mentoring and buddy support to ensure a valuable learning journey.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn internal tools, and apply HS&E standards while contributing to real projects and supplier evaluations. Flexible working options may be available, with mentorship throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.
• Fluent in English; strong written and spoken communication.
• Eligible to work in the EU without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Complete internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify process improvements.
• Learn internal software to assist project tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interns to network with global business leaders.
• Apply HS&E standards to ensure compliance in all activities.
• Support RFQ handling for Engineering and commercial teams, especially for new product development.
• Identify and evaluate new or alternate suppliers to strengthen product strategy.
• Coordinate contract execution activities with new vendors and engineering teams.
• Assist with planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting for team projects.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes andidentifybusiness improvements
• Learning internal software toassistwith the completion of projects and tasks
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders
• Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained
• Managing requests for quotations (RFQs) supporting Engineering and commercial teams, particularly in connection with new product development and introduction
• Identifying and evaluating new or alternative suppliers to strengthen product strategy, technology development, and vendor competitiveness
• Supporting new vendors engagement by reviewing and coordinating contract execution activities, and facilitating communication between them and Engineering
• Assisting the team with planning activities, data collection, analysis, and reporting, and contributing to team projects as needed

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be currently enrolled or recently graduatedina Bachelors’ or Masters’ level degree preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Finance
• Havemaintaineda GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country
• Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills
• Be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Be high-energy and self-motivated
• Have strong oral and written communication skills in English and Italian
• Possess a valid EU work permit
• Be able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly.

The allowance will be established in accordance with criteria related to the candidate’s academic status and their distance from the workplace.
