Baker Hughes invites students and recent graduates to join its Internship Program in Italy, offering hands-on experience in manufacturing operations and lean practices. You will work on projects, receive coaching, and interact with global leaders while developing skills in data analysis, quality control, and process improvement.

As an Intern, you will be mentored by a buddy and manager, participate in HS&E training, and gain exposure to internal software and cross-functional teams in a global

Competenze

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated in an Engineering degree (Industrial; Chemical; Mechanical; Petroleum; Supply Chain)
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
  • Fluent English and strong communication skills
  • Legally eligible to work in the country without sponsorship

Mansioni

  • Assist with day-to-day manufacturing operations, monitoring equipment and processes
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction
  • Collect and analyze data on manufacturing processes and equipment performance

Our internships will give you first‑hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading‑edge technology. Partner with the best You’ll participate in focused training, and team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset. You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and culture of Baker Hughes. as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting with the day-to-day manufacturing operations, which may include monitoring equipment, overseeing processes, and ensuring production goals are met.
  • Participating in quality control and quality assurance processes, inspecting products for defects, and ensuring they meet industry standards and company specifications
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Learning and applying principles of lean manufacturing to minimize waste, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
  • Preparing reports, work instructions, and process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements
  • Learning internal software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders
  • Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Be currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelors’ or Masters’ level degree in Engineering: Industrial; Chemical; Mechanical; Petroleum; Supply Chain (HSE, Quality, Manufacturing)
  • Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country
  • Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills
  • Be able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction
