Baker Hughes invites motivated students and recent graduates to join its Internship program in Italy. You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, lean processes, and data-driven project work across global teams.

As an Intern, you’ll be mentored by a buddy and manager, support quality control, and contribute to process optimization while learning HS&E practices and internal software tools.

Competenze

  • Be currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelor's or Masters in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, other STEM-related, Supply Chain (HSE, Quality, Manufacturing).
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with good communication skills.
  • Eligible to work in Italy without sponsorship or time restrictions.
  • Willing to work with flexible patterns as needed.

Mansioni

  • Assist with day-to-day manufacturing operations, monitor equipment and processes, and help meet production goals.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance, inspect products, ensure standards and specs.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Collect and analyze data on processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Learn lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and boost productivity.
  • Prepare reports, work instructions, and process documentation for consistency.

Partner with the best You’ll participate in focused training, and team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset. You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and culture of Baker Hughes. as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting with the day-to-day manufacturing operations, which may include monitoring equipment, overseeing processes, and ensuring production goals are met.
  • Participating in quality control and quality assurance processes, inspecting products for defects, and ensuring they meet industry standards and company specifications
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Learning and applying principles of lean manufacturing to minimize waste, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
  • Preparing reports, work instructions, and process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements
  • Learning internal software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders
  • Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Be currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelors' or Masters' level degree in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, other STEM-related, Supply Chain (HSE, Quality, Manufacturing).
  • Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country
  • Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills
  • Be able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction
  • Work in a way that works for you

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly. The allowance will be established in accordance with criteria related to the candidate’s academic status and their distance from the workplace.
