Renesas is seeking an MSc student in Electronic Engineering for a six-month internship at the Renesas design center in Catania, Italy. The project focuses on silicon validation automation for Power Management ICs, with guidance from the Performance Computing Power team.

Responsibilities include building lab setups, Python-based validation, data analysis, and collaboration across Design, Applications, Firmware, Product and Test teams.

Competenze

• Proficiency with programming languages (Python a plus).
• Basic knowledge of power management applications in consumer electronics.
• Able to read board level analog and digital PCB schematics.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Cross-cultural awareness in multisite environments.
• Excellent command of verbal and written English.

Job Description

Renesas is seeking a brilliant and motivated MSc student in Electronic Engineering for an internship to develop his/her final graduation thesis. The internship has a duration of six months to be spent in the new Renesas design center located in Catania, Italy. Objective of the internship is to perform research and development in the silicon validation automation domain with a special focus on Power Management IC. During the internship, the candidate will join the Performance Computing Power team in Catania working side by side with experienced engineers that will provide guidance and support throughout any technical challenge.

Principal Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize advanced laboratory test setups for complex silicon evaluation

• Develop automated validation frameworks and measurement scripts using Python.

• Validate analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power management ICs against electrical, functional, and performance specifications.

• Perform data acquisition, statistical analysis, result correlation, and preparation of detailed technical reports.

• Collaborate closely with Design, Applications, Firmware, Product and Test Engineers.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with any programming language (Python is a plus).

• Basic knowledge of power management applications in consumer electronic

Compensation : EUR 1000 gross per month
