Job Description
Reporting to the Group Insurance Director, she/he shall have the following key technical skills:
- Liability Insurance Line Management: Annually renew and place global master general and professional liability policies. Coordinate and place local and project policies when necessary. Collaborate with brokers, insurers, consultants, and team to ensure policies meet the business needs. Must have a deep understanding of policy language and coverage. Manage complex global third-party liability claims (all variations and legislations), communicate strategy between defense team and insurer to maximize coverage.
- Cyber Insurance Line Management: Annually renew and place global cyber insurance policy. Collaborate with IT, brokers, and internal team to ensure policy meets business needs. Must be able to strategically oversee underwriting process. Cyber incident response team lead for insurance.
- Risk Management: Responsible for analyzing loss data, identifying exposures, recommending solutions, implementing approved programs, promoting loss prevention, updating, and monitoring compliance with insurance procedures and processes for lines of insurance managed.
- Contract Review: Review customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts to analyze, edit, and negotiate provisions to comply with the master insurance program and consistent with sales contract approval policy.
- M&A: When required, solicit quotes for reps and warranties insurance, analyze offers, make recommendations to the M&A team, and facilitate reps and warranties insurance.
The Successful Applicant
Qualification Requirements:
- Preferably academic education as a lawyer (common law preferred).
- At least 10 years of working experience in an insurance company, insurance department of an international company, or law firm.
- Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance (including global integrated insurance program), insured litigation, and insurance market.
- Comfort and ability to work in a global setting, including international travel on demand.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in English (additional German language skills would be an advantage).
