Position: Instrumentation Engineer Lead

You will join our Department of Plant Design (PLAD) within the ABSER business line. Saipem specializes in delivering offshore Oil & Gas plants, HVDC and HVAC offshore projects, and renewable energy applications, from conceptual studies to detailed design.

The role involves:

1. Supervising technical documentation for quality and schedule adherence.
2. Supporting business development through cost-benefit analyses and business cases.
3. Working effectively in a multicultural environment.
4. Coordinating internal and external work teams.
5. Utilizing AutoCAD and design software like SPI/InTools, Conval.
6. Ensuring compliance with international codes such as IEC 61508/61511, ISA, AGA, ISO 5167, API 520/521.
7. Possessing knowledge of TELECOM system engineering (a plus).
8. Managing project interfaces and information flow.
9. Monitoring man-hours and costs.
10. Planning and executing instrumentation engineering activities within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
11. Managing engineering subcontractors' scope of work.
12. Facilitating communication between engineering departments.
13. Endorsing client technical documentation.
14. Developing data sheets for field instrumentation and control valves.
15. Pre-sizing control valves and developing related specifications.
16. Creating instrument lists, utility consumption lists, cable lists, etc.
17. Developing detailed engineering drawings and layouts.
18. Preparing bills of materials.
19. Developing specifications for control, emergency, and F&G systems.
20. Conducting technical bid evaluations and vendor follow-up.

Qualifications: Degree in Electronic, Industrial, or Automation Engineering or equivalent.

Language: English B2/C1 level.

Experience: At least 10 years in Oil & Gas or Renewables EPC projects.

Soft Skills: Strong team orientation, ability to coordinate diverse teams, and adapt to multicultural environments.

Location: Milan headquarters, with availability for international assignments.
