About the role

We are looking to hire a Consumer&Business Insights&Analytics for Italy market, based in Milano.

The role will leverage the power of combined market data (sell-out, consumer panel), market research and investment effectiveness to accelerate the business performance and drive a sustained profitable growth across our portfolio of categories and brands in Italy.

This is a pivotal business-partner role that will help strenghtening the external focus via market and consumer intelligence, and will help informing advertising&promotion choices based on a thorough embedding of marketing mix modelling outputs.

The ideal candidate knows how to unlock value at pace from data, and bring those insights effectively to the business.

This role – which is part of the Consumer&Business Insights&Analytics (CBIA) team for Southern Europe - will provide the candidate the opportunity to lead key activities to progress his/her career in a human-first and global-scale organization, and has got the following balance:

  • Footprint: 70% quantitative, 30% qualitative
  • Time Budget: 50% data (marketing mix modelling, market data, consumer panel) 50% market research

Key responsibilities

1. Craft the annual Insights&Analytics plan required to drive the strategy and activation in Italy

2. Contribute to set-up, analysis and embedding of new Haleon Marketing Mix Modelling practices (globally-led) for improved investment effectiveness. Mind we are not searching for an econometrician, but someone with a very good understanding of how marketing mix modelling work, how to make outputs relevant for the business and champion the technique in Italy organization. For this activity the candidate will be responsible for market data inputs, will act as a coordinator across functions locally, and will partner closely with Global CBIA Effectiveness Team to ensure outputs are consolidated into the relevant platforms.

3. A-Z management of market research studies

4. Agency management (across sell-out database, consumer panel and market research)

5. Mine existing data capabilities (ie longitudinal needxresponse, Always-on brand tracking) to provide fresh angles vs. routine analysis by marketers

6. Craft cross-categories/company-level/portfolio analysis to provide insights on competitor’s strategies and tactics

7. Partner in annual strategic plan/brand plan work ensuring local data&insights are captured throughout

8. Co-responsible for budget management&tracking

Qualifications and skills Essential

  • 10-15y business partner experience in similar roles, preferably in Fast Moving Consumer Goods / Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare manufacturers.
  • Bachelor Marketing Management / Business Management / Management Economics.
  • A master in social sciences or statistics is a plus.

Functional skills:

  • Business acumen
  • Proven expertise across analytics (marketing, sales, media metrics) and market research (survey, research tools and platforms esp. quantitative studies) and hands-on experience with analysis of these data into action
  • Good balance among analysis and synthesis: able to draw conclusions and formulate powerful recommendation to the business
  • Has a knack for seeing patterns in sprawling data sets and agility to cross-connect a variety of data sources
  • Strong project management, organized, with proven experience of planning complex schedules of activities
  • Highly accurate with data and budget management
  • Excellent Italian proficiency
  • Very good English proficiency
  • The knowledge of the pharmacy channel is a plus
  • Media analytics expertise is a plus
