Our team provides Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering, and Program / Project Management Services to the Federal and private sectors.

Position Summary

BB&E is seeking a qualified Inside Plant (ISP) Technician - System Administrator to support telecommunications operations at NAVSUP in Naples, Italy. The role involves ensuring reliable and secure performance of Inside Plant infrastructure, VoIP systems, and related communications equipment to support mission-critical operations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provide O&M support for telephone systems, VoIP, and related equipment.
  2. Operate, maintain, install, relocate, and troubleshoot telephone extensions and ancillary equipment.
  3. Perform programming changes and manage features on telephone systems.
  4. Respond to incidents and requests within required timelines.
  5. Coordinate with Tier III support and help desk for outages.
  6. Manage work orders via Help Desk system, maintaining high quality standards.
  7. Investigate and resolve alarms and system outages.
  8. Operate Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) systems; perform VoIP network administration.
  9. Support installation, inspection, and maintenance of T-2 and VoIP technology.
  10. Perform terminations at patch panels for installations or relocations.
  11. Maintain cable records, switch patch panels, and prepare maintenance reports.
  12. Coordinate inventories with the Contracting Officer Representative.
  13. Conduct preventive maintenance adhering to safety standards.
  14. Ensure all work restores original performance and complies with safety standards.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with tactical or commercial telecommunications equipment.
  • 3–5 years in VoIP network administration, systems programming, routing, and IT/teleconferencing deployments.
  • Security+ and CCNA Voice certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with DoD cyberspace workforce requirements.
  • Experience with Cisco CUCM systems.
  • Proficiency in PC operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances and credentials.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, operate equipment, and lift up to 25 lbs. May work in confined spaces and at heights, indoors and outdoors.
  • Compliance with safety requirements and PPE usage.
