Job summary

World Food Programme seeks a Change Management and Business Innovation professional to drive innovative financing initiatives for humanitarian and development needs. The role focuses on designing financing instruments, building investment theses, and coordinating with donors and partners to scale resource mobilization.

Located in Rome with remote options, the consultant will lead project work streams and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, business administration, public policy, or related field.
• At least 7 years in innovative finance, impact investing, development finance, investment banking, or related fields.
• Experience with multilateral organizations, development banks, or philanthropic investors is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute BIU projects in Innovative Finance.
• Support design and structuring of innovative financing mechanisms.
• Develop financing strategies and investment theses.
• Conduct landscape reviews of financing models across UN and DF ecosystem.
• Engage with donors, investors, and partners to validate structures.
• Lead junior staff and provide analytical guidance.
