Job summary

Serioplast, a global leader in rigid plastic packaging, seeks a Senior Injection Molding Technologist for its St. Louis plant.

You will lead technical activities, optimize PET mold operations, and support the Technical Manager in bottlenecks and quality issues. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of injection molding technology, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems, plus English fluency and willingness to relocate to the United States.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of plastic injection molding with PET preforms on high-cavitation molds.
• Strong understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic systems.
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Serve as a reference for technologists and support the Technical Manager in prioritizing work and addressing bottlenecks.
• Set up product recipes ensuring regulations and PLC parameters are correctly applied.
• Perform mechanical and electronic adjustments and monitor production variables to meet specifications.
• Conduct investigations and troubleshooting to resolve quality issues.
• Train and support production staff in resolving technical problems affecting product quality.
• Carry out electromechanical installation and setup of machines and equipment.
• Develop solutions by fabricating mechanical components to address production or technical issues and improve machine performance.
• Support the Technical Manager in continuous improvement projects and decisions on machines and processes.

Job description

Serioplast, a Global Leader in Rigid Plastic Packaging, is looking for a Senior Injection Molding Technologist to join its plant in St. Louis, Missouri, United States.

What will you do?

• Serve as a key point of reference for Technologists and support the Technical Manager in setting priorities, removing bottlenecks, and addressing critical issues
• Set up product recipes, ensuring all required regulations and PLC parameters are correctly applied
• Perform necessary mechanical and electronic adjustments and monitor production variables to ensure product specifications are met
• Conduct investigations and troubleshooting to resolve quality issues
• Train and support production staff in resolving minor technical problems affecting product quality
• Carry out electromechanical installation and setup of machines and equipment (compressors, air conditioning systems, dryers, leak testers, cameras, palletizers, etc.)
• Develop solutions by fabricating mechanical or other components to address production or technical issues and improve machine performance
• Support the Technical Manager in continuous improvement projects and in decisions regarding machines, equipment, molds, and processes

What are we looking for?

• Excellent knowledge of plastic Injection Molding technology, with specific experience in injection molding machines of PET preforms on high-cavitation molds (required)
• Excellent applied knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and/or electronic systems
• Good applied knowledge of measuring instruments and techniques
• Good applied knowledge of WCM standards
• Solid experience working with industry specific technologies and productive processes
• Fluency in English
• Available to relocate to St. Louis, Missouri, United States

What do we offer?

• Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 gross annual salary. The job level and compensation will be determined based on objective criteria, including experience, skills, and role responsibilities. Candidates with higher salary expectations driven by a more senior profile or specialized expertise will also be considered
