Competenze

Our pioneering spirit and continuous commitment to research & development has enabled us to be at the forefront of the radar technologies applications across the globe.

Our Pisa office we are looking for a Electronic Design Engineer.

The candidate will be involved in the electronic design of IDS Georadar products, whose main lines include Electromagnetic Locators, Interferometric Radars and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment.

He / she will take part in the entire product lifecycle, from design to development to testing, production start‑up and lifecycle management.

Main tasks will include:
  • Designing analogue system architectures
  • Designing, developing, and testing electronic boards
  • Producing product‑related documentation
  • Resolving design, manufacturing, and supplier issues
What we want you to do:
  • To conceive new designs and schemes for new products.
  • To maintain existing products and designs
  • To prepare design related documentation
  • To perform testing, validation, verification and troubleshooting on circuit board prototypes using lab equipment
  • To oversee and perform customer return testing and suggest design improvements or corrective action based on evaluation of test data
  • To define design requirements and work with external contractors for layout and other support activities when necessary
  • To communicate with suppliers, manufacturers and distributors for part selection and troubleshooting
  • To be compliant with workplace health and safety requirements and directions when working on customer / dealer / end user sites
  • Additional duties may be assigned from time to time
What we would like to see:

  • Strong grasp on fundamentals of circuit analysis and design

  • Good knowledge with Cadence OrCAD X Platform
  • Good knowledge of PCB design and layout considerations
  • Expertise in the use of analog circuits simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of laboratory instruments (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Power Meter, etc.)
  • 5+ year experience in a similar position
It would be preferred to also have:
  • Familiarity with industry standards for analog circuit design
  • Experience in Electromagnetic circuit design and EM propagation
  • Experience in RF & Microwaves Circuits Design
  • Experience with Altium Platform
  • Expertise in the use of electromagnetic (EM) simulation software (HFSS)
  • Basic knowledge of Labview or Python scripting
Languages:

Italian: excellent written and spoken skills

English: good written and spoken skills

Travel requirements:

A very small part of working time may be spent traveling to :

  • meet suppliers and manufacturers when needed
  • perform on site measurement and give support to other depts
