Descrizione del lavoro

Infrastructure Engineer Up to $110k base + bonus opportunity, (total comp could be up to ~$129), 401k w / 100% match on 3%, 50% on next 3%, 2 weeks PTO increasing with seniority, sabbaticals, parental leave, 7 holidays, certification reimbursements, and more! Hybrid (2 days in). This role focuses on operational IT work with a particular emphasis on network infrastructure. You will work closely with experienced engineers and management to support and transform IT environments for a diverse range of clients. Typical clients include mostly essential industries with over 50 users.

While level 1 engineers handle tickets, your role will be more project-based. Clients are assigned to SME groups within this company, meaning you will never be solely responsible for any one client. The company values a team-based approach, where you can lean on peers and management when necessary. Knowledge-sharing is encouraged, and there's no expectation to work in isolation. Opportunities to grow into a level 3 engineer or management role as you grow with the company. Physical client visits are rare, but you will interface with clients regularly, so professional communication is key.

  • Collaborate with engineers to address technical challenges and implement network solutions for clients.
  • Engage in ongoing and upcoming projects to support clients' expanding IT needs.
  • Manage infrastructure-focused consulting and engineering projects, focusing on practical implementation.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (including cybersecurity professionals and engineers) to solve client challenges and align with best practices.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation approximately every 5 weeks.
  • Minimal client visits within 45 minutes, with some outliers up to 1.5 hours less frequently.
  • Continuously learn and grow in the field, gaining certifications (e.g., AZ104) and increasing proficiency in Microsoft, Cisco, and other relevant technologies.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Strong professional hands-on enterprise-level experience in Cisco network infrastructure.
  • Emphasis on network infrastructure (Layer 2 / 3, routing / switching, firewalls, etc).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP / IP, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft services, server administration, etc.
  • Experience working in or alongside teams managing large-scale enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments.
  • Ability to work on multi-faceted projects and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Experience with IT service management systems, including ticketing and change management processes.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Previous experience with IT consulting or managed service provider (MSP) environments.
  • Experience with mid-sized corporate clients (50-250 users), enterprise-level environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and security operations teams.
  • Work Environment and Benefits :

  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility for remote and in-office work.
  • Occasional travel to client sites (most within 45 minutes, some up to 1.5 hours).
  • Competitive salary of $100,000 - $110,000, with potential commission increasing total compensation to ~$129K.
  • Comprehensive benefits : 401k with match, 7 holidays, 2 weeks PTO, parental leave, sabbaticals, and more.
  • Support for certifications and training, with study time during work hours or credit for off-hours study.
