Information Product Manager

The challenge

The Information Product Manager, reporting to Haier Europe Group Chief Data Officer, promotes and validates the project initiatives related to the enhancement of information. The resource manages and promotes innovative solutions, manages and monitors the use of information and promotes strategic initiatives based on the use of data and analytics. Manages and monitors data monetization, is responsible for creating value from information.

What you will do

As Information Product Manager you will:

  • Responsible for leading innovation within the business and define how the business creates additional value through the utilization of its data assets and analytics.

  • Monitor and identify the data needs of the business.

  • Manage data teams (internal/external) and oversee all activities ensuring alignment with departmental and business-wide vision and strategies.

  • Continuously improve the business’s data analysis model, creating industry-leading performance through the leveraging of new and creative data-sources and employing the latest in machine learning.

  • Design and implement machine-learning models to support the business’s numerous initiatives and programs with a view of achieving overall objectives and targets.

  • Collaborate with Data and Analytics team to develop a strategy roadmap

  • Play an analytical role where he will drive experimental data modeling designs within the business, running tests and tracking the company’s performance against data analysis model and monitor trends in key business KPIs.

  • Maintaining a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics to support business decision.

What you need to succeed

Must have

- Proficient and experienced in scripting languages and have rapid prototyping skills, that is, fluency in SQL, Python, Perl, Java, VB, among others

- Outstanding skills in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are necessary for this role

- Track record of leading high-performing data analyst teams (internal and external)

- Exceptionally good skills in SQL server reporting services, analysis services, Qlik, AWS, integration services

- Skilled in statistical and modeling packages such as SAS, Statistica, Matlab, R, visualization and other advanced analysis tools are necessary

- Expert in data management programming such as SQL, PL-SQL, and Python as well as being familiar win the workings of motion-tracking data and time-series analyses

Education: Master’s degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science or another related quantitative field

Professional experience: At least, 5 years of working experience in a data science position, preferably working as a Senior Data Scientist
