ITJ FedEx Express Italy s.r.l. in Turin, Italy, is hiring an Industrial Engineer to join our planning and engineering team.

The role involves applying specialist knowledge to design and optimize complex systems and processes, with a 6–9 month induction period and cross-functional collaboration across the region. The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree (5 years), speaks English (B2) and Italian, and has 3–5 years of relevant experience in transport or logistics.

What you will be doing:

Application of specialist knowledge in the field of Planning & Engineering which may include designing, managing or maintaining complex systems and/or processes or completing projects to develop or change systems and/or processes as appropriate

Key Responsibilities:

After the initial induction and training on the job period (expected 6/9 months) the incumbent is expected to:

• Working on activities with high impact and/or complexity such as International and Domestic Road Networks planning
• Supporting Air Network optimization initiatives by properly impacts and enablers on Road Network all across Region
• Being able to communicate and present complex topics to Senior/Executive management
• Completing tasks independently, without guidance, leveraging on expertise and cross-functional collaboration
• Supporting internal customers where specifically needed, by a correct prioritization of the assigned tasks
• Initiating and leading cross functional projects across the Region

The ideal candidate will have:

• Engineering Degree (5 years) - Mandatory
• Specific Accreditation – Optional
• 3-5 years work experience in similar positions (Transport and/or Logistic Companies)
• Language: English (mandatory): B2-high fluency expected, speaking, listening and writing at intermediate (independent) level; other Eastern EU languages (optional)
• Analytical: data driven decisions are key. High familiarity with numbers and structured approach are mandatory together with a cross-functional view of the problems (bigger picture)
• Planning: multi-layer plans management, consisting in solving different Network setups within one single plan and trading off between Operational costs and Service Level
• Project Management: leading or supporting cross-functional projects, meeting expected deadlines as well as the initial target (process improvements/network setup changes/etc..)
• Presentation: high familiarity with Powerpoint technicalities as well as with basic principles on how to prepare a document for the upper management. Public speaking and difficult conversations management are warmly recommended
• Influencing and Persuasion: being able to steer discussions and convince the audience upon request, always supported by facts and figures, in order to trigger and/or support the best decision making process

• You will receive annual salary in the range of € 33000- € 45000 gross per year, based on several factors, including professional experience, technical skills, educational background, soft skills, attitude, and how well the profile aligns with the responsibilities and objectives of the role.
