Job summary

Fondazione Start Attractor in Pisa, Italy, seeks a Scientific Developer – Data Engineer to drive digitalization in the paper‑making industry, with focus on tissue, hygiene products and related processes.

The role will design and operate data pipelines, contribute to the Data Platform and Agent Platform, and collaborate with industrial partners and research labs to deliver data‑driven solutions with strong governance and quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/DS/CE or related STEM disciplines.
• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering roles.
• Cloud, data engineering or Big Data certifications are a plus.
• International experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines across sources.
• Model and structure data for data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse environments.
• Ensure data quality, traceability, and reliability in ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, analysts, and data/AI professionals to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards.
