Job summary

Rossi S.p.A in Modena, Italy, is seeking an Industrial Controller to join its manufacturing group. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will support financial control across production plants and partner with Operations to drive efficiency.

You will analyze standard and product costs, monitor variances and KPIs, and assess ROI on CAPEX while ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting. English proficiency and ERP/IT skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cost control: Calculate and analyse standard and product costs to support production and inventory valuation across theGroup’s manufacturing plants.
• Variance analysis: Compare standard and actual costs, identify waste and inefficiencies, prepare variance reports, and monitor margins.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Coordinate the annual production budget and periodic forecast updates.
• Month-end closing: Manage inventory valuation, stock calculations, cost of goods sold (COGS), and slow- and non-moving inventory analysis.
• KPI monitoring: Analyse OEE, scrap rates, variable cost trends, and shop-floor workforce productivity.
• CAPEX analysis: Assess the return on investment (ROI) of new machinery and production equipment.
• Business partnering: Collaborate with Operations and actively support the annual budget process—including production volumes, product mix, and CAPEX—as well as variance analysis.

Key responsibilities

Requirements

Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Solid experience in industrial controlling within a structured manufacturing environment.


• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and a genuine passion for numbers.


• Energy, proactivity, flexibility, and the ability to work independently within your area of responsibility.


• Good command of English and sound knowledge of IT tools, Business Intelligence systems, and ERP platforms.


• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.


• Team-oriented mindset and strong planning skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
