Actual Talent, on behalf of a leading international company, seeks an Industrial Controller for the Monza and Brianza area in Italy. The role partners with plant management to translate operational performance into financial insights and to drive cost control across COGS, manufacturing, and logistics.

You will own the monthly close, budgeting and forecasting, providing clear explanations of deviations and actionable recommendations.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial finance or controlling, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of closing, budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
• Proficient in SAP and advanced Excel for financial reporting.

About Our Client

For a leading international company, we are looking for an Industrial Controller to join their team in the Monza and Brianza area, Italy.

Mission

Support the factory’s cost and efficiency targets by providing accurate financial information, identifying deviations early and proposing corrective actions. Act as a finance business partner to plant management, translating operational performance into financial insights that support decision-making. Serve as the main point of contact for the Italian business unit on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), covering manufacturing, logistics and obsolescence costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial closing and reporting.
• Partner with plant management to analyse factory performance, improve operational efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead the factory’s budgeting, forecasting and periodic financial reviews.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and deviations, providing clear explanations and supporting practical corrective action plans.
• Calculate costs for new and reformulated products, efficiency projects and capital investments, as required.
• Consolidate COGS information across manufacturing sites, procurement, logistics and other relevant functions supplying the Italian business unit.
• Communicate COGS performance and its financial impact to the Italian Finance team.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies, and support financial audits.
• Collaborate with operational and finance teams across Europe on regional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial finance or controlling, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of financial closing, budgeting, forecasting, standard costing and operational cost analysis.
• Advanced Excel and experience with SAP.
• Native Italian and advanced English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn financial and operational data into actionable recommendations.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective partnerships with operational and finance teams.
• Strong organisational skills, ownership and attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• An adaptable mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Salary range

€45,000–€50,000 gross per year.

Expected start date

February 2027.
