A leading company in procurement is seeking an Indirect Global Commodity Buyer in Codogno, Italy. The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and define global commodity strategies. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Indirect Services is required, along with fluency in English and Italian. The position allows for remote work up to eight days a month.

Competenze

• Previous experience in Indirect Materials / Services (2-4 years).
• Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Mansioni

• Manage all aspects of the commodities including RFQ, negotiation, and contracts.
• Define global commodity strategy and coordinate with local buyers.
• Proactively generate cost reduction ideas and negotiate prices.
• Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking for main commodities.
• Serve as the main contact point for strategic communication with suppliers.

We are looking for an Indirect Global Commodity Buyer within the Corporate Purchasing Department.

The role involves managing the supplier panel for the following Indirect Global Commodities:

• General Services
• Facility Management Services
• Consultancy Services
• Other Plant Equipment and Devices

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the commodities mentioned, including RFQ, negotiation, business bundling, project award, orders, contracts, and supplier database management.
• Define global commodity strategy and coordinate with local buyers across regions.
• Proactively generate cost reduction ideas and negotiate prices with assigned suppliers.
• Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking for main commodities.
• Serve as the main contact point for commercial, strategic communication, and escalation issues with suppliers.

Main Requirements

• Previous experience in Indirect Materials / Services (2-4 years).
• Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of additional foreign languages is a plus.
