We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated lawyer specializing in consumer flight claims (typically via small claims procedure) to lead in-court collections, owning or wanting to open their own boutique legal firm in Italy. Pre-court collections are managed by paralegals. Your responsibilities will include filing batches of court cases to recover compensation and reimburse passengers for Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) and ticket refunds. Currently, we handle EU261/UK261 compensation claims and will soon include baggage claims.

If the law or a judge rules unfairly, we may escalate to change the law or seek PR opportunities to raise awareness about legal issues. This role is ideal for high performers with strong litigation experience and a passion for advocating consumer rights in the airline industry.

The candidate must be free from conflicts of interest, able to litigate against different airlines.

Requirements: A valid lawyer’s/solicitor’s license and legal insurance. A law degree from an accredited institution. Experience with small claims, consumer rights, or aviation law is a plus but not required. Knowledge of relevant laws is advantageous. Proven successful in-court collection experience. Strong analytical, legal research, and strategic skills. Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize, meet deadlines, and track statutes of limitations. Experience in automating claims management processes is a plus.

Responsibilities: Preparing and filing court cases against airlines, responding to legal defenses, enforcing court decisions, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements, maintaining case records, and staying updated on relevant laws and precedents.
