Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor / Lawyer specializing in consumer flight claims (typically via small claims procedure) to lead in-court collections, either owning or wanting to open their own boutique Legal Firm in Italy. Pre-court collections are managed by a team of paralegals. You will be responsible for filing court cases to recover compensation and Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) incurred by passengers or to recover ticket refunds.

AirAdvisor handles claims related to EU261 / UK261 compensation for delays, cancellations, and denied boarding. We plan to launch baggage claims soon. If legal decisions are unfair, we may escalate to change the law, if feasible. There may be PR opportunities regarding court victories and legal issues to raise public awareness.

This role is ideal for high performers with strong litigation experience and a passion for advocating consumer rights in the airline industry. Candidates must be free from conflicts of interest, able to litigate against different airlines.

Requirements

• Valid lawyer’s / solicitor’s license and legal insurance
• Law degree from an accredited institution
• Experience with small claims, consumer rights, or aviation law is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of consumer protection laws and aviation regulations is a plus but not required
• Proven success in in-court collection
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize, meet deadlines, and track statutes of limitations
• Experience in automating claims management processes
