We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated solicitor specializing in consumer flight claims (typically via small claims procedure) to lead in-court collections, owning or wanting to open their own boutique legal firm in Italy.

Pre-court collections are managed by a team of paralegals. You will be responsible for filing batches of court cases to collect compensation and/or reimbursement of Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) incurred by passengers and/or recover ticket refunds. AirAdvisor currently handles three types of claims: EU261 / UK261 compensation for flight delays, cancellations, and denied boarding. We will soon launch baggage claims (delayed or lost).

If the law or judge decides the case unfairly, we would consider escalating this to change the law, if feasible. PR opportunities regarding court victories and legal issues may also arise. This role is ideal for high performers with strong litigation experience and a passion for advocating consumer rights in the airline industry.

The candidate must be free from conflicts of interest, able to litigate claims against different airlines.

Requirements : A valid lawyer’s/solicitor’s license and legal insurance. A law degree from an accredited institution. Experience with small claims, consumer rights, or aviation law is a plus but not required. Knowledge of relevant consumer protection laws and aviation regulations is a plus but not required. Proven success in in-court collection. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage caseloads, prioritize, meet deadlines, and track statute of limitations. Experience in automating and standardizing claims management processes for scalability.

Responsibilities : Preparing and filing cases in courts against airlines, responding to legal defenses, leading enforcement of court decisions, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements, maintaining case records, and staying updated on relevant laws and precedents.
