Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor / Lawyer specializing in consumer flight claims (typically via small claims procedure) to lead in-court collections or establish their own boutique legal firm in Italy. Pre-court collections are managed by a team of paralegals. You will be responsible for filing batches of court cases to recover compensation and reimburse Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) incurred by passengers, or recover ticket refunds. Currently, we handle EU261 / UK261 compensation claims, with baggage claims launching soon.

If the law or judge rules unfavorably, we may consider legal advocacy or PR opportunities related to court victories and legal issues to raise public awareness. This role is ideal for high performers with strong litigation experience and a passion for advocating consumer rights in the airline industry.

The candidate must be free from conflicts of interest and able to litigate against different airlines.

Requirements

• A valid lawyer’s / solicitor’s license and legal insurance.
• A law degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience with small claims, consumer rights, or aviation law is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of relevant consumer protection laws and aviation regulations is a plus but not required.
• Proven successful in-court collection track record.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for case assessment, legal research, and strategy development.
• Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize, meet deadlines, and track statutes of limitations.
• Experience in automating and standardizing claims processes for scalability.
