An international NGO is seeking a consultant to coordinate the incubation of sports clubs in Italy for young refugees. The role requires extensive experience in training and project facilitation, focusing on creating inclusive environments. Candidates must be fluent in Italian and have a strong understanding of refugee inclusion issues. This is a unique opportunity to drive social change through sport.
REPLAY (Refugees Play United) is a pilot project led by PLAY International in partnership with Liberi Nantes and Sport & Citizenship.
The project is funded by the European Commission and aims to facilitate access to sport for young refugees by supporting sports clubs in becoming inclusive and welcoming environments.
The first phase involved co-developing and testing educational tools for refugee inclusion with Liberi Nantes' training team.
The upcoming phase (September 2025 – March 2026) will focus on incubating five sports clubs in Italy with limited or no experience in refugee inclusion, helping them implement inclusive practices.
The objective of this consultancy is to coordinate and lead the incubation of these five clubs, supporting their transformation into inclusive environments for young refugees. The consultant will use a participatory methodology to guide each club through learning and action processes, deliver training, facilitate exchanges, and support the integration of REPLAY pedagogical tools. As this is a pilot, the incubation methodology and tools are still under development, and the consultant is expected to contribute to their testing, adaptation, and improvement.
