A leading banking group in Italy is seeking a Senior Equity Trader to manage individual risk-taking strategies and participate in investment decision-making. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of equity trading experience with a proven track record. Scope and purpose

The candidate will manage their own risk-taking strategies within an individual book, where targets are defined in terms of absolute results and maximum drawdown, following a defined risk framework agreed with Management. Additionally, they will participate in the investment decision-making process of the Desk, where risks and investment time frames are broader and longer-term.

Experience required

Minimum 4 years of autonomous risk-taking with a proven track record.

Skills and competences required

• Bachelor's Degree in Financial Disciplines; Master’s degree is a plus
• Alternatively, degrees in Engineering, Physics, Math, IT
• Excellent analytical skills
• Proven leadership in developing new trading and hedging strategies, and experience working on different projects, with strong teamwork skills within the Desk
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results efficiently and on time
• Excellent track record in Equity trading within a professional financial institution (banks, hedge funds, asset managers, etc.), demonstrating consistent medium-term returns
• Strong top-down approach to EU, US, or Asian markets, enabling profitable trading strategies with above-average Sharpe ratios, complemented by detailed analytical capabilities at the single stock level
• Responsible for managing an individual trading book and actively participating in research and strategy implementation
