A leading banking group in Italy is seeking a Vice President for Risk Sharing and Distribution. The role involves managing credit risk insurance processes, developing solutions, and fostering relationships with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in investment banking and risk distribution, along with strong leadership and negotiation abilities.

IMI CIB_Risk Sharing and Distribution_Vice President

Scope and purpose

Managing day-to-day requests from internal teams to address CRI needs of the IMI Corporate and Investment Banking Division, including liaising with insurance brokers and insurers, coordinating with the Insurance and Real Money team, obtaining risk approvals, executing documentation, and managing internal expectations and timelines.

Providing market intelligence and CRI advice to internal teams.

Fostering relationships with insurance brokers and insurers to develop market intelligence, appetite, and ideas.

Coordinating internal processes for education and awareness of CRI policies, procedures, new developments, and product knowledge.

Identifying and developing new CRI solutions across products and assisting with their implementation.

Developing new CRI-related structures, counterparties, and opportunities.

The person will liaise with:

• Insurance brokers, reinsurers, insurers, and other Credit Risk Protection Providers
• Front Office, Middle Office, Risk Management, Legal, Back Office, and Operations teams

Experience required

• Previous experience in an Investment Bank working in Credit Insurance or Risk distribution activities, or in a credit insurance broker or company working with Corporate/Investment Banks
• At least 5-7 years of experience with existing client relationships

Skills and competencies required

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; MBA or professional qualifications are advantageous
• Fluency in English; a second language is a plus
• Proven success in a similar role, driving growth and revenue, preferably in a multinational environment
• Experience in credit risk insurance, capital markets, structured finance, and related banking solutions
• Sales orientation, negotiation skills, leadership qualities, and experience in complex deal structuring
• Proficiency in financial software (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.) and MS Office tools
• Experience in closing credit insurance policies, especially in Project Finance, Leveraged Finance, or Sub Investment Grade ratings
• Familiarity with CRR regulatory frameworks and compliance
