To attract and retain clients and revenues in the territories allocated to the individual for coverage, through representation of all investment products and strategies offered by BNY Mellon Investment Management companies as appropriate to client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate Italian prospects and clients by leading and participating in client visits and calls, managing execution of client activity, and communicating with clients in the advisory segment, as appropriate, in line with the wider sales management team.
- Build the promotion of our funds through the client segment of Multi Managers and Independent Asset Managers in the region.
- Update clients on existing and forthcoming new products and their merits.
- Work with and coordinate internal resources to ensure production of materials for service and building prospects are in line with demand and consistent across markets.
- Follow up with clients after meetings and conference calls.
- Identify opportunities for deepening existing client relationships in the local market.
- Prepare bespoke presentations for meetings, conference calls, and pitches.
- Public speaker at BNY Mellon and client events presenting the firm’s capabilities and investment solutions.
- Update line manager on opportunities and assets at risk where required.
- Identify and communicate client requirements and ensure process shortfalls are acted upon quickly and effectively.
- Maintain client segmentation and product alignment plans and database locally.
- Identify areas for process and client service improvements on an ongoing basis.
- Work collaboratively with the entire team—sales, product management, and shared services—to accomplish revenue and operational goals.
- Be available for business trips within Italy and outside the region where necessary.
- Ensure all client activity is recorded in Salesforce.

- Provide accurate and appropriate management information to line manager.
- Comply with all corporate policies relevant to the functions managed, including Health and Safety Policy.
- Manage any delegated budget in a manner that will best serve the LOB’s interests.

- Be aware of current regulatory and legal obligations of the managed functions.
- Report any suspected breaches to the Compliance or Legal departments immediately upon discovery.
- Monitor, document, and report business risks and internal controls, alerting the line manager immediately of any significant changes.
