Hitachi Rail S.p.A. is looking for an enthusiastic IT Service Desk and End User Computing Engineer in Pistoia. The role involves supporting users, managing IT incidents, and contributing to Cyber Security efforts. Ideal candidates have strong Microsoft environment experience and good communication skills, along with a B1 English proficiency level.

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated IT Service Desk and End User Computing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of tasks, from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia.

Accountabilities

  • Manage incidents and requests efficiently
  • Provide support to the Business to meet demands
  • Support the Infrastructure and Operations team
  • Follow directives from the Head of Infrastructure and Service for the Vehicle Business Unit
  • Apply IT standards of the Rail Group to infrastructure
  • Support Cyber Security in daily operations
  • Assist End Users directly or through the Outsourcer team

Required Skills / Knowledge

Hard Skills

  • Experience supporting users in Microsoft client/server environments
  • Basic knowledge of main Microsoft on-premise server technologies (SharePoint, IIS, Active Directory, Certification Authority)
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Experience with computer roll-out and software installation
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft MECM (creating software distribution packages)
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory management (account provisioning, group membership, policy management)
  • Knowledge of DNS and DHCP
  • Knowledge of network device setup
  • Knowledge of Cisco video devices
  • Medium knowledge of MDM systems (AirWatch / Workspace ONE)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
  • Knowledge of VPN and Proxy solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills

Soft Skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously on tasks and projects
  • Flexibility for business trips and extra hours
  • Proficiency in English (at least B1 level)

Education / Qualifications

Fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken) at least level B1.
