Near-C S.R.L. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC system definition and validation within automotive projects. You’ll size, verify, and integrate HVAC components, define architecture, and coordinate with suppliers.

The role covers test planning and hands-on support for vehicle testing. The position is permanent, full-time, on-site, supporting critical infrastructure at world-class data center facilities.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with HVAC sizing, verification, architecture and integration in automotive context.
• Proficiency in English and Italian is essential.

Mansioni

• Define and manage functional and performance requirements for HVAC.
• Size and verify heating, cooling, ventilation, and air-exchange performance.
• Define and validate HVAC system architecture.
• Study and integrate air distribution within the vehicle.
• Evaluate airflow rate, velocity, and distribution uniformity.
• Coordinate interfaces between HVAC and carbody/subsystems.
• Draft and review technical specifications, diagrams, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers and verify design documentation.
• Define and validate HVAC test plans.
• Support tests on the vehicle (functional, climatic, airflow, acoustic, commissioning).

MAIN TASKS

• Definition and management of the system's functional and performance requirements for the HVAC
• Sizing and verification of heating, cooling, ventilation, and air-exchange performance.
• Definition and validation of the HVAC system architecture
• Study and integration of air-distribution within the vehicle, including ducts, diffusers, grilles, dampers, and vents
• Evaluation of airflow rate, velocity, and distribution uniformity across the different areas of the vehicle
• Management of mechanical, electrical, and functional interfaces between the HVAC system, the carbody, and other onboard subsystems
• Drafting and review of technical specifications, functional descriptions, schematic diagrams, and project documentation
• Technical coordination of suppliers and verification of design documentation
• Definition and validation of HVAC system test plans
• Support for functional, climatic, airflow-distribution, acoustic, and commissioning tests on the vehicle

EXPERISE

• The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a comparable qualification) and brings a minimum of two years of experience in a related position.

SKILLS

• Proficiency in both English and Italian is essential.
