The Opportunity

We are looking for a HVAC and Energy Engineer to join our MEP team (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) within Arup Milan Office.

As a HVAC and Energy Engineer at Arup, you will:

• Design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply, and drainage systems, building automation, and controls.
• Define and develop energy & carbon (scope 1, 2, 3) strategies with a focus on Science, Industry, and Technology projects and clients.
• Liaise with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to set constraints for mechanical design and energy/carbon targets, coordinating with all disciplines regarding requirements and inputs.
• Act as project lead engineer and interface with the client.
• Manage small project teams.

• Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering and energy/carbon fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, building, or energy engineering.
• Confirmed experience in designing mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Revit MEP.
• Fluency in both English and Italian, written and spoken.
• Good communication skills for team-based working.
• Excellent planning and organization skills for our fast-paced environment.
• Proactivity and willingness to take on new challenges.
