Buscojobs is seeking a Humanitarian Aid Response Coordinator to enhance their humanitarian response efforts. This role focuses on emergency capacities, leadership in field deployments, and strategic partnerships, involving significant outreach and program management. The position requires adaptability for various contexts and enhancing internal procedures, offering a chance to contribute to effective humanitarian projects across multiple regions.

We operate in various natural and man-made crises across different regions. The emergency response, coordinated by the Humanitarian Aid Unit, includes multi-sectorial interventions such as WASH, EiE, CVA, Food Security, Protection, and others. We also work in protracted crises, providing humanitarian aid through prevention, emergency relief, and rehabilitation approaches.

We are seeking a Humanitarian Aid Response Coordinator to join the Humanitarian Aid Unit within the IPD team at HQ. The main goal is to strengthen and implement WeWorld's humanitarian response efforts, contributing to the objectives of the Humanitarian Aid Unit. The role involves spending up to 50% of time on the field, with deployments of up to 4 weeks.
Under the guidance of the Head of Humanitarian Aid Unit, the coordinator will enhance the organization’s emergency response capabilities by fostering a strong humanitarian culture, capacity, and recognition. Responsibilities include:
The coordinator will deploy to various contexts and countries to support emergency response activities, ready to assume leadership roles as needed.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
The role involves ensuring program continuity, developing strategic partnerships, and increasing organizational sustainability. The coordinator will collaborate on project proposals, develop budgets, and support assessments for emergency funding, representing the organization in fundraising efforts.
If needed, the coordinator may act as the Country Representative or Head of Programme during short-term deployments, ensuring continuity and quality of activities, including budget and human resources management.
