Overview

Welcome Home in Licata! Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences is opening a new beach resort in Sicily with 125 rooms and suites, sports facilities, children’s areas, spa and water worlds. The opening is planned for 2026, with the location approximately 10 kilometres from Licata, Sicily.

We are a renowned family business and dynamic hotel group with more than 30 hotels and residences in Europe. We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Manager (f/m/d) to start in October 2025 to help shape the culture and team during the opening phase.

Your Responsibilities
  • Coordinate payroll processes and communicate with an external payroll provider
  • Implement and continuously improve HR processes (onboarding, employee handbook, time tracking, exit interviews, etc.)
  • Recruitment and talent acquisition, including correspondence, applicant management, pre-selection, and conducting interviews
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external training initiatives; maintain a training calendar
  • Handle HR-related administrative tasks: employee records, archiving, contracts and permits
  • Employee relations and support, including handling complaints and promoting a positive work environment
  • Coordinate and manage staff housing
Pre-opening HR tasks
  • Assist in the recruitment ramp-up for the hotel opening
  • Design and implement onboarding and orientation plans specific to new hotel operations
  • Support department heads in team structure planning and job descriptions
  • Set up HR systems and processes in collaboration with HQ
  • Coordinate pre-opening trainings and compliance briefings
Your Profile
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in Human Resources, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Formal education in HR Management or equivalent qualification
  • Fluency in German, Italian and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of labor and social insurance law
  • Strong service and quality orientation with a proactive and hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and approachable personality
  • Team player with a solution-oriented mindset and high degree of responsibility

Compensation is based on the collective agreement for the hotel and hospitality industry, with a clear willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience.
