A leading renewable energy company in Milan is seeking an HSE Coordinator to oversee site safety and training for photovoltaic projects. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in HSE or industrial engineering, at least 3 years of experience in high-risk environments, and strong communication skills in Italian and English. This role involves regular travel across Italy and focuses on ensuring safe working conditions on-site.

Competenze

Location: Milan, Italy

Our PVFranceEurope Division brings together professionals covering the entire value chain of photovoltaic solar projects, hybrid and storage: design, engineering, installation, operation & maintenance, energy storage, and grid integration.

We collaborate with utilities, IPPs, renewable developers, and B2B clients (industry and tertiary) on mono or multi-site photovoltaic plants, with or without storage. Joining our team means becoming part of a leading renewable energy company experiencing strong growth.

Within an organization executing ambitious projects across Italy, you will be the HSE reference point on construction sites and operational sites. You will contribute to producing clean energy by ensuring impeccable working conditions.

The role is structured into four main areas:

On-site Safety

  • Implement and maintain the site safety plan for the assigned perimeter.
  • Act as a safety alert: secure or halt any activity deemed risky.
  • Conduct surprise audits (work, PPE, alcohol & drugs) and vehicle inspections.
  • Manage access badges, vehicle tags, and control critical equipment: multi-gas detectors, fall protection lines, harnesses, fire extinguishers, VAT, etc.

Training & Support

  • Train and support internal teams and subcontractors on PDP, work permits, isolation procedures, postures.
  • Conduct reinforced safety inductions and lead toolbox meetings.
  • Investigate incidents (injuries, near misses, hazardous situations, HIPO).
  • Disseminate safety Flash Infos and monthly HSE indicators.
  • Prepare and lead daily/weekly coordination meetings.
  • Draft weekly safety reports for project management.

Document Management

  • Verify the validity of certifications, training, work permits, and safety inductions for operators.
  • Ensure the updating of the ISO/document system.

Regular travel to various sites across Italy is expected.

About you

  • Education: Diploma or short degree (Bac+2/3) in HSE, industrial engineering, or equivalent with QHSE specialization.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in high-risk industrial contexts (energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, or construction), preferably on EPC sites.
  • Skills: Strong safety culture, field audits, training ability, knowledge of work permits and prevention plans; environmental knowledge (waste, AIA / ICPE) is a plus.
  • Soft skills: Practical, pragmatic, pedagogical, persuasive, team-oriented, and critical thinker.
  • Languages: Fluent Italian; technical English. French is a plus.

Note: Regular travel across Italy is required.
