Job summary

JD Ross Energy seeks an HSE Specialist to drive health, safety and environmental performance on major renewable energy construction sites across Italy. You will ensure compliance, lead audits, and support incident investigations.

The role requires a degree in safety or environmental engineering, 4+ years in construction HSE, Italian ISO 45001/14001 experience, and fluent Italian with good English; you’ll collaborate with engineers and contractors to elevate safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of HSE experience within construction environments.
• Renewable energy experience (Solar PV, BESS, or Wind).
• Strong knowledge of Italian HSE legislation.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Fluent Italian and good English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, company policies, and industry best practices
• Conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and safety evaluations
• Monitoring contractors and subcontractors to ensure HSE compliance throughout project execution
• Supporting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
• Driving a strong safety culture through site engagement and awareness initiatives
• Collaborating closely with project teams, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain the highest safety standards on site
• Supporting continuous improvement of HSE procedures, systems, and performance reporting
