HSE Specialist (for Country Organization)

Responsibilities

• Driving continuous improvement by implementing the Group HSE management system and improvement programs.
• Empowering the management team to grasp obligations and liability, Italian HSE law and ABB requirements, and how to drive behavioral change.
• Reporting on performance of ABB Sustainability goals, KPIs and HSE incidents.
• Recording and maintaining required documents.
• Planning and executing HSE projects and reporting on goals and progress.
• Collecting, analysing and reporting on HSE performance, identifying problems and making suggestions to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
• Overseeing audits of HSE area.
• Raising awareness to ABB Group sustainability targets, and increasing commitment to reach HSE Group targets.
• Promoting awareness to country key resources about HSE requirements and up-to-date legislation prescriptions.

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) is preferred and at least 5 years of experience in the area.
• Prior experience with HSE Management Systems, such as Intelex, is ideal.
• Master’s in Health and Safety (preferred).
• Advanced English and Italian language proficiency.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is required.
• The ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams; collaborative, solutions-oriented approach; strong written and spoken communication skills.
