The opportunity
Contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance and Corporate Responsibility in assigned geography. Support the business by applying in-depth knowledge to offer solutions and advice through delivery of group-wide performance improvement programs and/or group audit program.
How you'll make an impact
- Support Site Managers in operating in compliance with HSE standards and legal obligations. Assist project teams to meet all legal (HSE documentation as per D. Lgs 81/08 and D. Lgs 152/06) and customer requirements. Conduct regular onsite and back-office checks with subcontractors to ensure activities are planned and delivered following company and customer policies, HSE management systems, and legal requirements. Support frontline personnel in identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents to enforce safe work procedures.
- Deliver and deploy project-specific site inductions and group-wide performance improvement programs to divisions and local business units, focusing on construction sites. Analyze HSE data within area of responsibility. Report on progress regarding HSE and sustainability objectives and KPIs. Assess emerging trends and legislation in HSE, communicating relevant legal requirements within the area of expertise and geography.
- Conduct inspections and support follow-up of improvement actions in local business units, focusing on construction sites. Collaborate across functions and with business partners to raise awareness and drive performance. Engage with stakeholders to build commitment and credibility. Promote behavioral change and continuous improvement through training and competence initiatives. Support the sharing of best practices. Contribute to the execution of group audit programs. Participate in projects related to HSE performance and corporate responsibility, focusing on construction sites, developing and reporting on project objectives. Uphold core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.
- Understand and implement the global O/S HSE management system and contribute to improving the local HSE management system.
Your background
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma (electrical background is a plus) with at least 2 years of experience in HSE roles, with knowledge of Italian HSE legislations.
- Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time to construction sites.
- Proactivity, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms.
- Good knowledge of English and Italian is mandatory.
