Saipem is seeking an HSE Officer for the Bioraffineria project based in Livorno, Italy. The role sits in the HSE E&C Onshore Projects Department and involves ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting JSA and HIRA, and promoting a strong HSE culture on site.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience in industrial environments, a technical degree or diploma, and English at B1 level. The position offers a fixed-term contract and location in Livorno with opportunities for site travel.

Purpose of the position:

As HSE Officer you will be part of the HSE Function within the HSE E&C ONSHORE PROJECTS Department, within the Bioraffineria project based in Livorno

How can you support us?

• Support the application of the Company HSE Policy and HSE Management System at site level, ensuring regulatory compliance and the adequacy of Site HSE documentation.
• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), supervising subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with all applicable HSE procedures.
• Organize and coordinate HSE training activities, meetings, and awareness programs, promoting personnel indoctrination and the dissemination of HSE culture.
• Plan and participate in inspections, audits, and HSE walk-arounds, managing incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic HSE reports and update site statistics, monitoring performance against objectives and proposing recovery and continuous improvement plans.

What are we looking for?

Education: Technical degree or high school diploma

Background: 2-5 years’ experience preferably in structured industrial companies

Languages: English B1

Technical/IT Knowledge: Knowledge of HSE management systems, Risk assessment and hazard management expertise, Audit, inspection, and HSE reporting capabilities, HSE training and communication skills, Emergency management and incident response

What else should you know? You will have the opportunity to travel in Livorno, the place in which the project is located

What We Can Offer To You

• For home office contract: Pay not lower than 38.000,00 €
• Location: Livorno
