HSE Lead – Data Center Project (Milan, Italy)

Champion safety on one of Europe’s most advanced construction programmes.

We’re hiring an experienced EHS Lead to oversee environmental, health, and safety practices on a hyperscale data center site near Milan. In this critical leadership role, you’ll set the standard for safe delivery, ensuring that all operations align with global best practices and local regulations.

You’ll be working with a globally recognised delivery partner on a fast-paced, high-spec build — where safety, precision, and performance go hand in hand. If you have a passion for proactive safety leadership, this is the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading site-wide HSEoperations and ensuring full compliance with Italian and international regulations
• Developing and enforcing risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
• Conducting site audits, toolbox talks, and safety briefings with all contractors and staff
• Investigating incidents and implementing root cause analysis and preventive actions
• Coordinating with site management, contractors, and client teams to drive a culture of accountability and care
• Supporting inductions, training, and competency management across site personnel

You’ll need:

• 5+ years’ experience in HSE roles on large-scale construction sites
• Relevant HSEqualifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, or national equivalent)

• Track record of leading safety culture on complex construction or engineering sites
• EU work eligibility; Italian language a strong advantage
