Job Summary

The multi-site HR Manager is the HR leader responsible for our 2 paper bags plants in north-eastern Italy, in the provinces of Padua and Gorizia, with approximately 200 employees. She/he will lead a small team to foster a positive and productive culture, build trust and accountability, and deliver HR excellence and process improvements. This role serves as the primary contact for managers and employees, providing expertise and guidance in culture, performance, talent management, development, compensation, conflict management, employee relations, and leadership coaching. The HR Manager executes the HR strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and Mondi's HR strategy, partnering closely with site leadership.

Your mission:

  • Serve as a strong functional partner to the Site MDs, driving cohesive decision-making and collaboration, and developing and executing HR initiatives aligned with business goals and Mondi HR strategy.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employee engagement, relations, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition, retention, and workplace investigations.
  • Be the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR questions and issues; escalate concerns as needed.
  • Collaborate with Site MDs, HR Business Partners, Regional HR Leaders, and HR CoE professionals to align HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Advise managers and employees to ensure consistent application of policies and compliance, promoting an ethical work environment.
  • Partner with HR leaders and CoEs on HR projects across the two sites.
  • Lead all union and works council relations, ensuring proper handling of employee relations issues.
  • Ensure HR matters comply with local laws and company regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data with care.
  • Communicate effectively across the site.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional HR experience, preferably in industry.
  • At least 5 years in a client support HR role.
  • Knowledge of union/employee relations, works council management, and local labor laws.
  • Strong communication, diplomacy, and influencing skills.
  • Proactive, able to prioritize, work independently, and navigate matrix environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about employee advocacy and organizational success.
  • Approachable and responsive, with strong customer service focus.
  • Supportive team player with a drive to foster a positive work environment.
  • Interest in HR innovation and process improvement.
  • Native Italian speaker and fluent in English, both written and spoken.
