Description of the Role

For the upcoming opening of Thompson Rome by Hyatt, we are looking for a motivated and experienced HR Manager who is eager to lead the Human Resources function in a new, contemporary-spirited hospitality project. Join us during the crucial pre-opening phase and actively contribute to building a strong company culture focused on team well-being and service excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Pre-opening management: Coordinate all HR activities related to the hotel opening, including the implementation of time and attendance systems.
  • HR administration and compliance: Ensure full compliance with Italian labor laws, draft employment contracts, define compensation policies, and support the implementation of company policies.
  • Talent acquisition and onboarding: Manage the entire recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring an effective and engaging candidate experience.
  • Employee relations: Be a point of reference for team members, promoting an inclusive, positive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Training and development: Design and implement training plans to enhance employee skills and support professional growth.
  • Performance management: Implement performance evaluation tools and continuous feedback systems to foster employee engagement and recognition.
  • Payroll and benefits: Work closely with the finance team and external providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll and benefits administration.
  • Health and safety: Oversee mandatory training programs and occupational health monitoring in accordance with current regulations.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in the hospitality industry or other fast-paced, structured environments
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian labor law and HR best practices
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and interpersonal abilities
  • Proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving setting
  • Proficiency in major HR software tools
  • Fluent in Italian and English
