Our HR Managers are responsible for delivering HR Consulting Services by supporting people leaders aligned with business objectives.

The Role

The HR Manager role supports the ICON business in Italy and other countries within the Med regional area. Working as part of the broader EMEA HR team and with support from HR Shared Services and specialist HR areas, the HR Manager supports country leadership, site heads, and people managers across various HR activities.

  • Partner with Country Management Teams and Site Heads, providing support and challenge on HR and change management matters.
  • Build strong relationships with key managers within your country and with offshore managers responsible for people management.
  • Provide insights and advice to regional HR leadership on local labor laws and regulations.
  • Support the implementation of people strategies and HR programs, providing local insights.
  • Deliver complex case management advice on disciplinary, performance, redundancy, and long-term sickness issues requiring country-specific interaction.
  • Implement global HR initiatives and change programs within designated countries, collaborating with Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners.
  • Manage employee relations, legal compliance, and HR policy adherence in your region.
  • Manage labor relations, including Works Councils, employee groups, and trade unions.
  • Identify key trends from data such as exit questionnaires and performance reviews, and propose improvement plans.
  • Contribute to HR work streams related to acquisitions, divestments, and outsourcing, ensuring compliance with local legislation.
Experience
  • 5+ years as an HR Manager, with demonstrated ability to partner with leadership and manage both strategic and tactical tasks.
  • Preferably from the services industry.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Expertise in statutory compliance.
  • Experience delivering presentations to business teams.
  • Experience in formal discussions, grievance handling, and managing Works Council relationships.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours.
  • Excellent communication skills in Italian and English, both oral and written.

Location: Milan, hybrid work with 40% remote possibility.
