A leading engineering and construction company in Milan is seeking an HR Manager to supervise personnel and expatriates for international projects. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Economics or Humanities, relevant HR experience, and the ability to relocate abroad. This role involves ensuring compliance with local labor laws and managing HR processes effectively.

The Company We are Tecnimont SpA, an EPC contractor of Maire Tecnimont Group, an industrial leader in Engineering & Construction, Technology & Licensing, and Energy Business Development and Ventures. Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, the Group is among the global top-ranking engineering contractors.

The position Within the framework of executive projects, you will supervise and manage expatriates and personnel hired locally, ensuring compliance with local laws and adherence to standards and policies set by the Group. You are expected to be hired in Milan and then seconded abroad, directly on site or at the project branch.

Activities and main responsibilities include: monitoring HR reports & metrics for the management team; ensuring equitable and legal application of local labor terms; planning workforce needs; managing expatriates and local personnel in compliance with local law; driving payroll processes; negotiating salary and employment contracts; initiating hiring and immigration documentation; providing HR support and advice on policies and benefits.

Person specification: candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics or Humanities, with a post-graduate master in HR considered a plus; 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a multinational environment; strong HR generalist knowledge; cross-cultural awareness; willingness to relocate abroad; adaptability; problem-solving skills; excellent communication; organizational skills; fluency in English.
