Job Summary
We are looking for a strategic HR Director to lead the HR function in Italy, overseeing 3 legal entities with ~300 employees. Reporting to the Regional HR Director for Europe, you will manage a team of 3 HR professionals and ensure the effective delivery of HR services.
As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will drive key priorities such as talent development, organizational design, change management, and labor relations, while ensuring compliance with local labor laws. You will align HR strategy with business goals and foster a culture of excellence in partnership with regional and global HR teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the local HR team to deliver efficient, globally aligned HR services and support the local implementation of regional and global HR initiatives,
- Partner with local leadership to implement HR strategies that support current and future business needs,
- Act as the primary HR contact, providing strategic and operational support on all people-related matters,
- Ensure full compliance with national labor law,
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration planning, and organizational transitions,
- Oversee all HR functions: talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, workforce planning, talent management,
- Monitor HR metrics to identify process improvements and enhance people strategies,Coach managers on leadership development, team effectiveness, and organizational culture,
- Lead change management during organizational transformation,
- Promote a culture of inclusion and equity, adapting global DEI initiatives to fit local needs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role,
- Fluent in English and Italian (min. C1),
- Strong expertise in Italian labor law and employment practices,
- Extensive experience in multinational, fast-paced matrix organizations, with strong skills in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management,
- Proven track record of leading complex HR projects, including M&A, restructuring, and organizational change,
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills,
- Familiarity with Success Factor and global HR operating models is a plus,
- Experience with workers' councils, including negotiation and change-related discussions.
