Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner as HR leader for our Power Electronics Global Centre of Competence (eMobility and Power Conversion) in our Grid Integration Business Unit. The HRBP will support global HR Projects in addition.

As a core member of the global Power Electronics Centre of Competence team as well as the Grid Integration HR Leadership team, the HR Business Partner is accountable for the overall HR contribution and value add to the business, translating business goals into HR priorities and ensuring effective implementation in partnership with our HR centres of expertise (COEs) and HR operations.

The HRBP will partner with business leaders to support and drive the transformation and growth of our business, set and define HR focus areas, develop and drive talent outcomes, support business goals and initiatives by ensuring relevant people capabilities and organizational effectiveness, counsel and coach business leaders, and implement solutions.

Your responsibilities :

  1. Strategy leadership : Set and implement people-relevant focus areas and actions in line with the Business Unit and Product Group / Function strategy, HR policies, and guidelines.
  2. Capability / Workforce Planning : Ensure people and organizational capabilities required in the mid to long term are understood and actioned. Apply HR Analytics data to understand key organizational dynamics, trends, and issues, and define and execute appropriate actions.
  3. Organizational Design & Developments : Implement the operating model and optimize organization structures and principles in line with group and global rules and standards, including the Hitachi Energy Job Structure.
  4. Performance Management : Implement group and global business performance standards, KPIs, and targets to help build a high-performance culture in the organization.
  5. Skill development and Learning : Decide on competence actions to support business strategy in partnership with BU HR Team and Functions. Implement learning and development activities to build and improve technical and leadership competence in collaboration with the HR Talent team.
  6. Leadership Culture & Talent Management : Identify and build talent bench strength together with the leaders in the organization. Utilize Our Leadership Pillars and Diversity360 to help drive culture and behavior, connecting our People to Potential.
  7. Standards and governance : Implement and ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes related to operations/projects.
  8. Drive recognition and reward programs : For individuals and teams linked to the business priorities and C&B guidelines.
  9. Labor Relations : Partner with managers, union representatives, and employees to understand current issues that can be supported or addressed through HR practices, processes, or policies.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 10 years of Human Resource generalist experience, including experience in a project environment, ideally gained in a global multinational matrix environment.
  • Strong track record in transformation, organizational, and talent development, as well as capability building.
  • Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • Data literacy and ability to lead by influence.
  • Labor relations experience in a union environment is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
