DP World is seeking an HR Business Partner in Milan, Italy! The purpose of HRBP, which reports to the VP People Western Europe, is to help the organisation by creating and putting into practice people management strategies and activities that are in line with the overall business plan. You will an all-inclusive HRBP function at various locations in the assigned country and manage the relationship with the payroll partner.

You will aid our managers in generalist HR areas to strengthen line management skills and promote best HR practices across the organisation. This will help to ensure that the company's brand is protected and that the overall business strategy is supported by fully demonstrating the company's behaviours and values.

You will act as Point of Contact for Performance Development, Performance Improvement, iTalent, Succession Planning, Employer Branding (especially in educational area), Training Need Assessment and all other regional activities as appropriate.

How you will contribute

  • Supporting the management team, providing advice and guidance on HR policies, practices, and solutions.
  • Supervising the implementation of HR strategies aligned with the division's objectives.
  • Collaborating with managers to identify and address talent gaps, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement, development, and retention
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting our values and standards.
  • Leading HR projects and process improvements to streamline HR operations
  • Supporting change management initiatives related to the company's ongoing growth
  • Provide HR support in several areas including TUPE, employee development & career plans, employee engagement, and performance management and provide an effective level of governance.
  • Act as counsel to the business in employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, performance, and absence management.
  • Hold HR / up-skilling workshops to promote best practice including delivering training in the Company’s HR policies and procedures and use of HR tools.
  • Coach and mentor, the people managers across the business ensuring they are confident and competent people management processes.
  • Work with the management team as a coach, challenger, contributor
  • Work with internal customers to make sure that the culture is constantly demonstrated by our staff
  • Work with the wider HR Team / Global HR on wider HR initiatives linked to employee engagement, health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion and other project-based activities.
  • Maintain visibility and accessibility for manager and employees, which include travel to sites within the scope of the role
  • Work with the wider HR Team linking the Talent and Acquisition, Pay & Reward and O&D Work to ensure a joined and aligned service for managers and employees.

What you will bring

  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience as a trusted HR Business Partner or HR Manager
  • Strong knowledge of Italian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in working with HR systems, with Oracle HCM experience being an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Full working proficiency in English and language of the specific country / countries.
